Program Calendar

Santa Sabina Center is located in beautiful Marin County, California, just 11 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge leading to San Francisco, with access to Bay and Ocean beaches, and to the Napa Valley wine country.

Santa Sabina is a retreat and conference center founded in the Catholic monastic tradition in the late 1930's. Since 1970 the Center has been open to people of all faiths and spiritual backgrounds who return to Santa Sabina again and again for its spirit of welcome and its dedication to a "contemplative way of being".

From the quiet of Santa Sabina's inner courtyard garden and adjoining chapel, the spirit of tranquility and simplicity permeates the Center.

Santa Sabina offers a place of quiet and beauty for individuals who come for our Center retreats or for groups who wish to bring their own programs to this peaceful setting. It is also possible occasionally to spend personal quiet time at the Center for overnight individual retreats.

Santa Sabina sleeps 58 in simple but comfortable single or twin bed rooms and houses a large kitchen, dining room and several meeting areas, large or small. The Center also provides two additional spaces for individual quiet time and/or group reflective gatherings: our straw bale one person "hermitage" (not pictured) and our "yurt", on the hillside under the trees (pictured).

Santa Sabina is adjacent to the 100 acre Dominican University campus with wooded environs, wild life, extensive garden, trail walks and hikes from which one can see Mount Tamalpais, the San Francisco Bay and bridges.
